Zelensky lands in Spain to discuss air defense

President Zelensky is in Madrid to enhance Ukraine's defense cooperation with Spain and discuss military support. He expressed gratitude for Spain's assistance and highlighted ongoing coordination with U.S. partners for security and peace efforts. Zelensky is set to meet with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez during the Ibero-American Summit. This visit is his fifth to Spain since the Russian invasion began in 2022. Spain has been active in supporting Ukraine with military aid, including training and equipment. Reports suggest Spain may donate older Patriot missiles to Ukraine, which needs more to counter potential Russian attacks this winter.
