Change in Ukrainian airspace. Special flights resume
Ukraine has announced the resumption of medical air evacuations for patients, which had been halted due to the closed airspace since the war began in February 2022. Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky stated that the government approved the rules for organizing such transports. Ground transportation for patients needing urgent care currently takes several hours, while air transport could reduce this time significantly. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of timely medical assistance for critically ill patients and assured that safety measures would be strictly followed. The system is expected to be operational by the end of the year.
