Changes to tax thresholds. The government project returns to the Sejm

A new tax reform bill has been submitted to the Polish Parliament, proposing changes to personal and corporate income tax rates. The bill aims to raise the first income tax threshold from 120,000 to 130,000 PLN while maintaining a 12% rate below this threshold. A new 24% rate will apply to incomes between 130,000 and 150,000 PLN, and a 32% rate for incomes above 150,000 PLN. Additionally, the bill lowers the revenue threshold for choosing a lump-sum tax from 2 million to 250,000 euros and increases the solidarity tax rate from 4% to 5% for incomes exceeding 1 million PLN annually. The corporate tax rate for companies with monthly revenues over 50 million euros will rise from 19% to 22%. This proposal is similar to a previously passed law that faced constitutional concerns, which the government aims to address.
