Changes in the tax system. The Sejm made a decision

The Polish Sejm has approved a tax reform bill introducing a new 24% income tax rate and raising the corporate tax rate for large companies to 22%. The bill passed with 236 votes in favor and 207 against, marking its second vote after previous opposition claims of expedited processing. The reform raises the first income tax threshold from 120,000 to 130,000 PLN while maintaining a 12% rate for that bracket. A new 24% rate applies to incomes between 130,000 and 150,000 PLN, with incomes above 150,000 PLN taxed at 32%. Additionally, the solidarity tax rate for high earners will increase from 4% to 5%. The corporate tax rate for companies with revenues over 50 million euros will rise from 19% to 22%.
