ZUS is preparing a change in funeral benefits. The solution will speed up the payment of money

Dariusz Dutkiewicz discussed upcoming changes to funeral benefit applications, allowing online submissions to simplify the process for funeral homes. Starting next year, ZUS will implement a digital platform for submitting applications, which is expected to expedite benefit payments. The funeral benefit has recently increased from 4,000 PLN to 7,000 PLN, though this amount may not cover all costs in larger cities. The rise in urn burials is impacting the funeral industry, leading to a decline in coffin production and a shift in business focus for some funeral homes.
